Cut the chords

That are weighing you down

Pulling on to you

Dragging you lower

Deep into the abyss

Of your fears and worries

Where you’ll disappear

Lose yourself in the darkness

The hollow existence

To be but not.

Free yourself

Before it’s too late

And your flesh is rotting,

Lying in the puddle

That you dug yourself

Every tear tearing open

Every inch of your being.

Don’t be consumed

In your despair,

The self-pity and loathing

Misery and sorrow

Melancholy is your foe

Let it go, my love.
